Product Review: RPM Institute

Monday 1 January 2007 @ 12:44 pm
Many visitors to my blogs and websites are either new to the idea of internet marketing, or are looking for ways to increase their revenue, either by monetizing a website they already have, or by implementing a new method for increasing their "virtual real estate".

When I first began to explore internet marketing some six or more years ago, you had to do everything yourself. I had to teach myself html, search engine optimization, email marketing, and blogging, among other things. It was a long, slow road the first couple of years.

These days, however, shortcuts abound. One such shortcut, and among the programs that I most highly and unreservedly recommend, is the RPM Institute.

To give you a quick overview, RPM Institute is run by a team of expert internet marketers, and their goal is to teach you to fast track to making money online. RPM stands for "research, publish, and market".

The RPM website leads you through that process in step by step fashion, through a series of audios, videos, and downloadable PDF files, in addition to regular training calls and their very active member's forum. But you get more than just training.

Part of your membership package includes access to their proprietary software tools. They have a blog setup that is second to none, and you can install it on your website in just a few minutes. Then you can install and activate their automatic content generation and updating system. Finally, you can use their proprietary RSS feed generation software, to distribute your content as widely as possible.

I've used their software both for standalone blog sites and to add to my existing sites. You can also import your own templates (e.g., the "adsense ready" templates put out by Joel Comm) or create a site with something like XsitePro and then add to it with the RPM system. The possibilities are endless.

New for 2007 is their two-tiered membership system, which brings the RPM Institute membership within the reach of almost anyone, and the new feature whereby they will build a niche website on a topic of your choosing for you every single month.

I love the latter feature, since my stable of websites is large enough to require much of my time throughout the month. To expand, I would either have to hire more Virtual Assistants, or somehow outsource the creation of websites.

Now, my RPM membership allows me to pick a topic, register a domain name, and leave the creation of the site up to someone else who is an expert with the software system. I don't have to waste time and money paying my Virtual Assistants to learn the system – RPM provides me with an expert who already knows the system and creates my website for me. All I have to do is log in and check it out, and then come back later and add new and original content of my own, and affiliate links, if I want to.

Having been a RPM member for some months now, I can say that the training materials are solid and first-rate, and I can recommend the program to "newbies" who want to learn "virtual real estate" the right way, as well as to old-timers who want a simple method for expanding their web site content generation and an easy to use web site content management system.

Take a serious look at the RPM Institute.
